Christmas Eve & Day

On Christmas Eve we went over to Nana Deb's house for dinner....however Miss Melynn was not in the best of moods but found comfort in the arms of her Uncle Matt.....that was the only time she wasn't cranky or squirmy....thank you Matt! Christmas Day we woke up to Bad Mood Melynn as well she had little interest in her toys from Santa & just wanted to lay on Momma or Daddy. She was running a fever & I was worried her 1st Christmas was going to be spent at home.... we decided to go ahead over to Papaws & Nana Pam's for breakfast where her mood changed & we thought the day might actually get better. Boy were we wrong we went back over to Nana Deb's where Bad Mood Melynn reared her ugly head again.....and it continued over to Aunt Bubba's house for dinner. Needless to say Melynn's 1st actual Christmas was a bust for her but we enjoyed spending time with everyone....hopefully they enjoyed it just as much with us despite our cranky baby.

Christmas with Memaw & Pawpaw

The day before Christmas Eve Memaw & Pawpaw stopped by to visit on their way to my sisters. Melynn had more fun playing with my new tuperware & Pawpaw than anything. We enjoyed their visit & certainly appreciated everything.

Christmas at Gigi & Grandaddys

Melynn's 1st Christmas Extravaganza was celebrated at Gigi & Grandaddy's. Melynn, Devon, & I spent the night & woke up the next morning to cook breakfast & open presents. Aunt D ( Devon) & Uncle J got her a ton of stuff however she had no interest in opening anything. Although she was slightly interested in what Gigi got from Grandaddy... jewelry always makes a girl interested!

Thanksgiving

This was our 1st Thanksgiving as a family & I've got to say this was the best! From the pictures below you can see a good time was had by all. Melynn & Andy started the morning with a warm up nap & we went full force after that. She had mash potatoes, squash casserole, ham, & dressing for her Thanksgiving meal & as you can tell from the pictures absolutely loved it! We were at the family farm & enjoyed horse rides & a hayride. It was too cold for Miss Melynn to enjoy the the hayride so she, Andy, & I rode along in our truck where it was nice & toasty! She enjoyed looking at all the cows in the back pastures & petting the horses. She didn't know what to think about the horses but loved to touch their hair. She still has a major case of hair envy! Melynn is also teething right now so we had our meltdown moments but it was all taken with stride! Once we got home she was exhausted & took a long nap before bed on her sweet daddy. We are very thankful this year for our beautiful little red hair blessing! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

My 1st Turkey Day!!

9mth Melynn!

Melynn turned 9mths on November 19th, 2009. She now weighs 19lbs 3oz & is 28.75 inches long! She has discovered her voice & is very vocal(translation LOUD) & loves to call for her DA-DA. She seems to be very strong willed in what she wants to do so now she is learning the word "no". I'm sure it won't be long before it's coming right back at me. She continues to pull herself up on everything & tries to stand alone but isn't taking any steps yet aside from with her baby stroller or push toys. She crawls everywhere & loves to explore new rooms & manages to find any little speck of anything on the floor & decides she needs to taste it.... we vaccum alot. We are so proud of our little girl & can't wait to see what she accomplishes in the next month!

Making up for lost time!

I am so sorry for not posting in what seems like months our computer has been messed up. So here is a run down of the last month of Miss Melynns life:

On October 19th she turned 8mths old at that point she was pulling up on the couch, coffee table etc & pushing her toys around. She babbles alot & has started to say Da-Da alot especially when she sees Andy coming thru the door. She claps all the time & loves for you to sing to her. We have the staples of ABC's, Patty Cake, & we have altered Old McDonald to On Papaws Farm. In regards to food she is still on Stage 2 foods, along with formula. However if your eating she will track you down & want some & depending on what it is she gets a little bite. We haven't found anything as of yet that she doesn't like. She can tear up some Mac n Cheese, she is her Momma's girl! We haven't traveled anywhere lately but have had alot of visitors to come see her. She still is very good at adapting to all her visitors & loves all the attention! She'll do all her latest tricks to get you to clap for her.

I've posted alot of pictures so you can see how she's grown in the last month or so & will post a 9mth picture & update in the next week bc yes it's been that long.

Thank you for keeping up with us & hope we'll get to visit everyone through the holidays.

Our visit to Kentucky

My friend Cheryl & her boys came in for a visit to Louisville. So Devon, Melynn, & I took a trip up 65 to see them. Cheryl was there the night I found out I was pregnant & I haven't seen her since....... During that time I had Melynn & she got pregnant & had Ross! It was so great to see her & have our children together....I'm greatful for our friendship & thrilled that we have become mothers!

It wont be long before I'm running circles
