Today I am 1 month old!!
Melynn is now 1mth old, and growing every day. We go on 3/23 for our official one month checkup which will involve shots, so I am not thrilled about this visit.
She is starting/trying to hold her head up & continues to be on a every 2-3 hour feeding schedule, however I am getting more sleep bc I have now learned to sleep when she does & have gotten used to late nights. She is a little vocal spouting out passages from Shakespeare & discussing the upcoming NFL draft with her daddy or really just goo-ing & coo-ing.
Melynn continues to amaze us everyday with her new talents & our love grows for our little girl.
Below are some more pictures over our last few weeks of our little piece of perfection.
The day that Melynn got her head examined!
Just letting you all know Melynn's ultrasound came back normal! Our perfect little piece of perfection is still perfect! So all is well I'll post some more pictures soon!
Todays Doctors Appointment
I have great news, Melynn has gained 1lb & 3 oz since our last appointment so we are now at 7lbs 6ozs!! I have a little fatty on my hands! All her other measurements are fine, with the exception of her head measurements. Some of you may already know that they have been monitoring her fontanel on the back of her head, normally this is smaller than the soft spot on the top of a baby's head, however in our case Melynn's is the same as her soft spot which causes concern, just concern at this point nothing that we're told to worry about they just want to make sure everythings ok with our fatty mcfattelton..... so with that we are all making a trip to Vanderbilt's Children's Hospital to visit those fine folks & get our little ones head scanned. They are going to put that nasty gel that all pregnant women love & get pretty close with during pregnancy on her head & do an ultrasound to check her out. I'll post again once we go on Friday to let you know how things are, I'm sure she's perfectly fine, but keep us in your thoughts!
Week #2
Well folks we're well into week 2 with Miss Melynn & there is never a dull moment. We're still working our kinks out, but we still are blessed with a laid back child. Nothing too exciting has happened like in her first week of life, however she does recognize our voices. which is pretty neat in our eyes. Shes beginning to stay awake more which can make for some long evenings, but we wouldn't trade any of these moments. She went to her first bridal shower this past Saturday, she was passed around like the dip that was served., but alot of family was there that needed to see her.
I'm still missing sleep, but learning to rest when she does, Andy has started his training for his insurance license this week so Melynn & I are trying to keep quiet so that he gets plenty of rest & can study for his big test on Saturday.
Melynn goes back for another doctors appointment on Wednesday so I will update everyone then. Until then or something exciting happens below are some pictures to tide all the restless fans of Melynn over until I can post again.
Hugs & kisses!
