Just amazing.

I apologize for the distance between posts. Life seems to take over and quite frankly I'm enjoying it with her. She ceases to amaze me everyday whether she makes me happy by doing something goofy or aggravating me by testing her boundaries.... Melynn turned 2 last month and talks non stop. Its not annoying that she talks in general just that she repeats alot...thats the only thing that annoys me. But I understand thats how she learns & how Momma increases her patience.  She knows her colors now & we're working on letters, and recognizing how many there is of something...normally she'll just count really fast...up to ten most of the time despite the fact there are 2 hippo's on the page not 10. Utensils are used occasionally but she still feels that her hands are better. We still give her sippy cups to drink out of despite the fact at daycare she uses a regular cup. I'm just not at the point where I find cleaning up liquid and food a fun event....but I know eventually I'm going to have to give in...
I'm proud to say she knows her full name, her age, city & state, my name, and her Daddy's name...now if she ever gets lost hopefully she will be able to tell them who she is....but I doubt she'll talk to a stranger.
She sings to us & vice versa....more of the latter. Mel loves the ABC's, Old McDonald, Twinkle Twinkle, God our Father. Its really cute to hear sing God our Father....
Mel runs everywhere walking is not an option with her we just pray she misses the obstacles and doesn't hurt herself which does happen every now & then. Her hair is finally growing & teeth are coming in more & more. She's becoming a little person. It brings a smile to my face to watch her grow & learn each day. She's just amazing to Andy & I and everyone who comes into her life.
So life continues on with our little Melynn and we continue on with it and face any obstacle that might come along & all the great accomplishments that pop up too. Until next time here are a few pics to hold you over..

Melynns 2nd Christmas

Christmas was very bittersweet this year. By the time Christmas had rolled around we had lost Sam & Papaw this year.  Needless to say we were ready for 2010 to be over with & to get through the holidays quickly. If it wasn't for Melynn to distract us I think we would have been pretty worse off. She had so much fun this year still not knowing about Santa but able to rip into her gifts this year. Had our first white Christmas in 17 years here in Middle Tennessee. Our neck of the woods received a dusting not enough to hold us back from traveling but enough to enjoy the fact we had a White Christmas. Christmas Eve, Pawpaw & Memaw visted on their way to Alabama then on to dinner with Nanna Deb, then Christmas Morning we had breakfast with the guys like we have done in previous years with Sam, then on to Nanna Debs, & to the Mannings for Christmas Dinner. Our cousins from Atlanta came in the day after Christmas to celebrate then Lulu came in New Years Weekend & then the weekend after we had Christmas with Nanna from Bama, Cissy, & Gigi & Grandaddy. An enormous amount of family I know...but so greatful to have all these wonderful people in our lives. We are anxious to see what 2011 holds for our Boles Family & what new adventures our sweet red head is going to take us on.

Turkey Day

Well I'm a lot late in posting about our Thanksgiving this year...due to procrastination. This was our 1st Thanksgiving without Sam & to be honest it was strange but familiar. Everyone came up to celebrate with us & we had great food as always but missed having him there. The guys gave horse rides to everyone which Melynn is starting to enjoy. Sam would be so proud.

Holt Family Farms Pumpkin Patch & Halloween

Melynn was a cow this year & really had no desire to wear her costume. I felt like an awful mother trying to stuff her into this thing while she kicked & screamed "no mommy" so with that being said unless she has a change of heart next year she'll be some sort of fairy or princess....something that doesnt require a suit. She would say "Trick or Treat" just not to anyone else but had a good time walking around outside & enjoyed giving candy to the other children. I'm already looking forward to next year.

We also visited the Holt Family Farms in Dresden, TN with Aunt D & had a blast on our hayride picking out our pumpkins & visiting with the animals.  Melynn as always was more interested in seeing the animals but was very protective of her pumpies ( pumpkins in Melynn speak)

Here's a few pics of Melynn with Pawpaw & Memaw..

Melynn is 20mths old!

Melynn is now 20 mths old...its very bittersweet on my end to see her growing so fast. She's a parrot when it comes to speaking. She will repeat most things you ask her too albeit most in her own little way. She can tell you her name, but leaves out the Melynn part...just Charyette BOLES! She accentuates the Boles part...She will sing for a while or do the movements to her childrens songs.
Climbing is very much apart of her life even if she shouldn't be climbing up on something.....she's very busy as her Nana Deb would put it..I call it crazy...or into everything and I mean EVERYTHING! Chick never stops...I'm gonna start calling her the Energizer Bunny. Shes entertaining to say the least & is the best part of our lives. Check her out...her hairs growing as is her cute little budha belly, and she gets taller by the day. Love to you all!

Sam

Melynn lost her Papaw this past September. He loved to ask her "Where is Skip?" and she would look around & then whine to go outside & see the horses. He hoped one day she would share his love of riding & become his farm girl. He is sorely missed by us all.

This one was taken at Andy's Birthday cookout. He was teaching her how to dip the horses legs in the icing.

This was the 4th of July...I love the way he's looking at her.
